"Then why did you never turn your back on them and leave?"
"Because by then you yourself live within the ruined palaces; you have inherited the forgotten kingdoms."--Patricia McKillip, *The Cygnet and the Firebird*

This is the sort-of-more-private blog of Jennifer Crow. You can read my public blog here. Someday I may even update it again.

I'm a writer, focusing mainly on science fiction, fantasy, and speculative poetry. My work's been published in a number of print magazines and e-zines. I've been a Rhysling Award nominee in 2006 and 2007, and I've had several of my poems receive honorable mentions in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror anthologies. When I'm not writing, I'm busy taking care of my family, volunteering for various groups, knitting, hunting for fossils and reading.

Some of my work is available online at Goblin Fruit, Byzarium, Abyss & Apex, and Strange Horizons, among others.
